thats cool
-
he is increasing the density of the water so the packet is less dense.
-
There is a tiny amount of air in the ketchup packet - which is why it floats. When you squeeze the bottle, it increases the pressure, the liquid cannot be compressed, so it compresses the tiny amount of gas in the ketchup packet, increasing the density and allowing it to sink.

AKA a Cartesian Diver <- google it

@mrlaokids1235 You should always use glasses
-
Combine that with a tornado tube, that is something to see.
-
the air pressure in the bottle causes the packet to sink. when you squeeze you increase the pressure. when you release you decrease the pressure. or is it the other way around??
-
as pressure increases volume decreases which forces the ketchup packet down

@cataclysmicnothing thank you captain obvious
-
this can be done with a ball point pen cover and blutack
I think it works because you squeezed the bottle
