What an amazing voice. She gives the impression that she really feels these lyrics... that the words really mean something to her. Another artist I've always adored. Wishing you well Sheena Easton. You are brilliant!
A #13 Billboard hit from early 1982 (actually debuted 11-28-1981).
In 1982 we had Sheena, Juice Newton, Olivia Newton-John, Barbra Streisand, and Melissa Manchester. In 2011 we have Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Beyonce, and Rihanna. NO contest which year I think was better for music - REAL music.
Would have been great in a Bond movie.

Sheena...What a voice. We seem to have lost our appreciation for her over the yrs with Whitney and even Celine.

@cindynewton Check out my channel. I've got a clip of Sheena singing this live, with an RnB arrangement. Breathtaking!

And don't forget about Diana Ross, Roberta Flack, Stevie Nicks, Donna Summer, and the Pointer Sisters who were still churning out hits in 1982.

While this may not be one of her most popular songs--it is one of her most beautiful<3
