This 30 second spot, supporting Tennessee Senate District 13 candidate Debbie Matthews, takes aim at incumbent State Senator Bill Ketron and his stance on Senate Bill 3250. SB 3250, known as the " Presumption Bill " would provide financial assistance to TN professional firefighters, paramedics and EMTs who contract various life threatening infectious diseases at work. This bill mirrors similar legislation already passed around the United States, providing the "presumption " that a first responder contracted these diseases while at work.
Ketron derailed this legislation in committee, stating in part, that his reasons were based on the possibility of Tennessee first responders contracting these diseases while on " junkets to Las Vegas "
