  • This was the Video i watched before attending WCS . To be honest , i hated it while i was studying there .. but looking back now . it was and could have been the best time of my life .. watching this vid again gives me a sad but glad i was a part of it feeling . * if you know what i mean*

and who can forget Digger !!!! he was a tough son of a BBBBB, but he really did care

so want to go back for a visit and see what i can do for the school even in a small way

  • I was at Wanganui Collegiate in 1964 when T.U. Wells was Headmaster, was in Grey House with Jim Wallace as Housemaster. I remember HEXADS Cricket and Rugby, in fact it was the School that taught me Rugby. I also remember the canings and slipperings ( the latter being mainly for dorm offences ), fagging and the School Army Cadet Unit. These memories are to name a few. I was only there for a year before moving to Australia. The School still looks the same and the tradition is sound. Nice one !!

  • whats wrong with girls at a school?

ah why was there a rowing 8 or maybe a 4 in the big school lawn?

  • This was my time!!! miss it so much! WCS rules!!

  • i live in wangaz and dat skwl is da rich kids i hate da peepz dea

  • Man i miss it so much... Mr. Dickinson left if you remember him, that was a sad time!!

  • i missed my skool......:(

  • He let girls into the (once) great school...

Ronnie was far better headmaster....Man i still use his quotes today!!!

    "Cross Country is 'character building'....."

Massive influence on my life...thought he was up himself at the time, now realise what a great Headmaster Ronnie was......(he NEVER let girls in)

  • Fascinating, isn't it: though the Hensman era was vastly different to my antedeluvian times, something of the essence remains unchanged. Though WTF a rowing shell was doing in the middle of the Big School lawn is something of a mystery.
