Wilco's drummer, Glenn Kotche, performs one of his own compositions solo in Spokane, Washington at the Empyrean coffee house February 18, 2007. In this short segment he is telling a musical story about monkeys in the jungle.

  • BEST. DRUMMER. ALIVE. PERIOD.

  • Love him ! and also love the band Wilco ;) Glenn totally rocks on drums ;)

  • killer!

  • I'm from Spokane, and I don't think it's one of his favorites, because it hasn't been around for super long, so I don't think he's probably been there before this date or performed there with Wilco or anything. But it's definitely a cool little room, and is often home to everything from poetry readings and acoustic shows to loud metal/hardcore shows. I wish I would have seen this particular performance!!

  • That must be one classy coffee shop, or one of Glenn's favorites to be able to have him perform there.

  • on the webpage of drummerworld the sound is MUCH better and it's the same song! it's worth to check it out!

watch my cover video too! thanks =D

  • He's not just a great drummer, he's an awesome, humble guy.

  • the composition here is "monkey chant," I think.
