Uhhh, what if he really DOES have no idea when the concert was, cause he just has "handlers" ferry him from concert site to concert site, and from state to state. And perhaps he just passed a time zone line or something.. or he's done two or three concerts in the past few days, it can get confusing.. one state and hotel starting to look alot like another.
