  • Nope. In the 1920's this would have been a bit outdated already.

  • 'Bay Window Bohemia' by Oscar Lewis claims the turkey trot dance originated late 1890's-early 1900's at Purcell's Pacific Street resort in San Francisco - music sounds typical of that period as well.

  • Cartoon backround music!

  • Is the turkey trot the 123 hop 123 hop one!!! FUN!!!!

  • composer Danmark is really J. Bodewalt Lampe, author of Creole Belles - born in Ribe, Denmark!

  • This is a 1910s piece, of course. The military style of the '10s.

In my channel I have some recreations of the 1910s One Step dance that are very authentic, as well as some great pieces of the era.

  • This would have been considered pretty quaint by the 1920's. This is a great example of popular band music from around the later part of the first decade of the 20th century.

  • Irving Berlin's "Everybody's Doing It" from around 1912 was written about the turkey trot craze. By the late teens jass (later spelled jazz) and blues had replaced ragtime in popularity.

  • That doesn't sound like 1912 to me. Give it the 1920's but no more.

  • oops clips
