A video that I made some time ago now.
With many thanks indeed to the RNLI who have kindly uploaded this video onto their official RNLI YouTube Channel: officialrnli.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that operates the vast majority of the lifeboats around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
As the RNLI is a charity, it has to raise all of its funds with voluntary donations from the public. It costs £139 million each year to run the RNLI.
The RNLI owns and oeprates 235 lifeboat stations and 300 lifeboats (as well as an additional 100 lifeboats in their relief fleet), positioned around the coasts of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
The RNLI, as well as lifeboats around our coasts, operate a specialised flood rescue team which has assisted people in flooding situations in places such as Cockermouth (2009), Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester (2007), Filey, Hull and Grimsby (2007), Hereford (2006), Indonesia and Guyana (2005), Boscastle (2004), Uckfield (2000), Bangladesh (1988) and East Pakistan (1970).
RNLI Lifeguards are also stationed at selected beaches along the South, South West, East and North East of England as well as the South of Wales.
All crew members aboard all RNLI lifeboats are volunteers and therefore unpaid. The vast majority all have full time jobs and are prepared to leave their place of work or home at a second's notice to save lives at sea.
The RNLI is a charity. It relies solely on voluntary donations to stay operational. Please take the small step and dontate to them now:

@FlipFloptheGog Thank you very much for your kind comment. I'm unsure as to whether '155steph' got in contact with the crew. It may be worth sending her a message to ask. Many thanks!

@155steph Thank you very much for your comments. You may wish to direct them to the officialRNLI website as I am only an RNLI enthusiast, hence my username and I've just made this video to outline the work of the charity. Perhaps if you knew which RNLI lifeboat station the lifeboat came from, you could approach the crew and find out which volunteers came to your aid. Thanks once again.
