  • but,? there or no native americans or latinos in Masons right?

  • we have many, many men from latin and native American descent within Masonry. I have personally been involved in the initiations of some.

  • Is it possible to be a communist aswell as a freemason? Communism is atheist but all i've heard is that you need a belief some sort of supreme being, could that be anybody you want it to be?

  • We do not ask who you put your faith in or what political feelings you have. Only that your faith inspires you to be a better person and you try and promote freedom in the world

  • Thank you for giving light to this topic because so many people are in the dark and think the worst of us... God bless you brother.

  • The Christian Freemason is assisted by his Society of Friends and Brothers to better understand the Power, Wisdom and Goodness of The Creator God. He is instructed in how to act toward his neighbor with deeds and not just words. The Christian (Jew or Muslim) has naught to be disturbed from the Teachings of Freemasonry.

  • I understand Ron Paul is a FreeMason, what is your opinion or the masonic lodges position on his view of the world?

  • @tubertomp No, the term for a member is a mason or freemason. The freeman bit you're thinking of is derived from the feudal era when serfs were not free to move or join organisations like guilds, as part of the requirements for joining you must be a "just, upright and free man." So the insinuation you make is false, you have to be free to join. It's still relevant as those who are serving or have served a custodial sentence aren't eligible no longer being free men.
