About us: Damien's mom gave birth to him after a short labor that was augmented with pitocin, a pudendal block, narcotics and an episiotomy. He was delivered with forceps and his mother suffered a 4th degree tear. Damien is a biology student and is planning on becoming a physicians assistant. Kate was born via cesarean section because her mom had two previous cesareans. Kate is a doula, student midwife and is Damien's girlfriend. She feels very supported in her studies by Damien and feels very lucky to have a partner who has always been behind her, but more recently Damien has become very interested in the ethical and statistical discrepancies in the "birth world".
