Damn Damnation game! I was so close to an fc but my cymbals overhit! =( How do you prevent your cymbals from overhitting btw?

I used to have a lot of trouble with overhits last year. It just took a lot of trial and error of movin them around. It explains why I know have a different model of ion cymbal for each color. Also my hi hat is hooked on a separate frame to avoid overhits.

I'll try to find a way to to connect my cymbals to something else. Other than buying expensive new custom cymbals, there has to be a definite way to get them to work perfectly and without driving me insane. I don't know about you though, but I also find hitting the rim of the cymbals helps reduce the chance to overhit.
