Bass Cover (second take) - "The Awakening" by Les Claypool

Second (and better) recording of this cover. This time during daytime (brighter).

This is with the whole bass downtuned a half-step from standard, because that's what my band uses for everything and it's what my bass's action is set up for. Playing it in standard tuning in the previous recording meant the action was much higher, making this very difficult to play accurately.

Recorded using my new Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 USB 2.0 audio interface (cleaner sound).

Also used some new new capture software I found called Debut Video Capture. I've struggled to find free/affordable software that doesn't crash or have other major problems trying to record HD video from the LifeCam while also recording audio from a separate audio source. (Stupidly, the official Microsoft LifeCam capture software will only record audio from the lame mic onboard the camera.)

@RobertCella Win7 x64 PC. It's a great device for a consumer-grade gadget, very quiet and reliable. Haven't used it nearly to its capacity though. Nice to know I can always plug it into any machine that's fast enough and simultaneously record a bazillion channels if the need arises though.

@c0d3h4x0r Nice, man, thanks for the quick response. I'm running a Win7 x64 PC as well....you happen to know if I need to be running a particular Service Pack (1,2 or 3) ???
