---Please note: I may have mistakenly said "2cups"...I do use that measurement on occasion for sugaring, hardly is that ever required; please disregard and use the 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 lemon juice------
I appreciate your interest in sugaring. Due to the busy end of school year activities, I am going to have delays in responses (on my part), and I ask for your patience. I have a FAQ on My Space in my blog--Sugaring. Also, if you scroll down the page here, you may be able to find a question similar to your which I've already answered. I expect to be very busy between Tuesday May 19 and June 4th...2009.
Namaste!
This is Nina. Thank you all for watching my video! I think you want to know about sugaring for the body? You have come to the right place!! I sugar!
I know I've made several mini videos about sugaring. I want to help with all the sugaring questions and most of them come from the process of cooking the sugar. The concern about under cooking and over cooking are common concerns.
This video will show you close up what to expect in the cooking process.
This mixture will need to be simmered over medium to high heat and will form bubbles. You will notice even the bubbles will change in color as time passes.
Sugaring can be tricky at first. Please be patient and allow for plenty of time to make your mixture.
You are welcome to use other citrus if lemon juice isn't available. Grapefruit, orange, lime, and others should work fine.
1 cup (240 ml) sugar --any cane sugar will work (grandulated white, brown, raw, organic, etc)
1/4 c (59 ml) water
1/4 c (59 ml)lemon juice
After watching the rest of my sugaring videos and if you still have questions, please feel free to contact me. I will have a slight delay in replies because I'm going to be spending a lot of time away from home in the next few weeks...the weather isn't too bad and I thrive on sunlight! :0)
I'd appreciate you looking over the Q & A video with the pink companion of mine and looking at the Q & A on my profile. I will keep that up for a little while until I have time to put up a permanent one on MY Space.
Thanks again for watching my videos!!!
Nina
Enjoy my friends!

Namaste!
mrsavi2008, thank you for your interest. I believe you need to stir sugar mixture in pot on medium heat. allow to boil and stir. keep stirring and watch for sugar to darken and once it's the color of dark copper...you are very close to the right mixture. please don't give up. the first and sometimes 2nd time around are tough, but, it will improve. please contact me on facebook to chat about it if you want to. thanks dear. facebook id is ninalovesdr.pepper
thanks again

I just made my first batch. It is a dark amber. It looks darker than yours. Can you overcook it?

it can be overcooked, but, mostly, it's still useable. :)
