  • By the way, Ross123hooper is my other account

just realsed i used the wrong one

  • @diysnowboardmaster hey i was just wondering if those metal things are holding the snowboard together......... cause me and my dad are going to make one ....pleeeasssseee reply :)

  • @777paulw Hey buddy, yeah the purpose of those metal things was to hold the bits of wood together. it needs to be strong or else it will snap! There are probably better ways to make a snowboard as this one was quite heavy, but did the job when a bit of snow fell for 2 or 3 days!.

  • @777paulw Also a major issue i found was that having a curved board (the convex shape of the skateboard widthways..look it up on google) was BAD because the rails need to dig into the snow in order to turn the board. so a flat board with quite angular edges = good. I've seen where people get thin layers (~3mm) of ply and glue many layers with a strong glue like an epoxy resin and whilst the glue is dry, bend the ends up and allow the glue to cure. Probably a better way if you want results.

  • @diysnowboardmaster sorry i meant to say when the glue is WET, bend the ends up

  • @777paulw Good luck!
