Their favourite album is Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation. Gordy listened to it as a teenager and came back to it when he was 21. Matt heard it when he was 19. He'd avoided it because he thought SY were "just a noisy band too clever for their own good". They think that it's sounds very rhythmic. Matt thinks that the drums in particular sound soft and not as angular as he would have thought.
