Guys like Morten Anderson, Jason Elam, and Adam Viniateri (when he retires) ought to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If you have a truly outstanding career, no matter what your position is, then you ought to be in. And yes, I would also agree that Steve Tasker and Ray Guy should be in.

lol, yeah u got a good point. Special teamers have never gotten respect bc most announcers are ex football players who never played special teams and therefore hate them. It's a known fact that the kicker is like the black sheep of a family.
Yes, Phil Dawson is a hometown pic, but i don't care bc i like him too. He's as good ad Vinitari.

I don't really credit special teams in general but kickers definitely belong in the hall of fame. There is not one position on the field more nervewracking than that. (Former kick myself)

you got a point, i mean how could they possibly discard the special team players, they are an important base of the football game, even in the team is the piece of the puzzle that in my personal experience that decides the victory unless you have crapy defence or an offense that an hold the ball in their for more than 2 seconds, but yeah, they should be reconize for their part in the game

You forgot some people like Andy Lee(punter for the 49ers) or better yet kicker Sebastian Janakowski(sheesh man).
but yeah most of these people should be in the hall of fame.

While I do like Janikowski (slight Raider bias) his accuracy from long range can be rather erratic. That and if I were to sit here and list off all the good special teamers from the past few seasons or so I'd more than likely go over the YouTube limit.
