Comparison of my overdrive pedals - Ibanez TS-9 - Maxon OD820 - Way Huge Green Rhino Re-issue & Xotic BB - all running into a Vox Pathfinder with Blue Bulldog speaker. Guitar is a Fender Stratocaster with DiMarzio Chopper in bridge. Recorded using a Sennheiser e906 into Logic Pro using Apogee Duet.

  • is a Rat a OD or distortion..i have one but dont know.

  • @souljubilant12 Rat pedals are distortion pedals that can get into fuzz territory when pushed. Great classic rock sound.

  • Is it the modtone powered pedalboard?

  • @MyKiko5 Pedal Power 2+

  • @strunzgracie BB by far. It is somewhere between an overdrive and distortion pedal. Very smooth but can get into marshall territory.

  • nice playing

  • @spakuloid oh ok thanks yeah it abit heavy sound but sounds killer with my Bigmuff \

  • BB for me. More definition and a little less middy and nasely, if thats a word.

  • The only thing that I don't like is the strat, haha. The combination of the Rhino and the BB is great.

thanks bro, I ll give a shot to the the timmy,as i tried the BB plus and did not like it in any way, it does not add that extra gain of a TS type pedals add which i like.

  • @KAMI13666

Well bro, the Engl is already tight and not boomy like mesa dual recto, so ts with DR make it tighter by making it loosing the extra boomy low end, while engls are not boomy, so i need something to make the notes sustain more and give a natural feedback.

  • @onthronez2003

the whole point in boosting is to loose bottom end, add mids and make things tighter so, some sort of tube screamer will be best.
