This is my tribute to Stargate the movie on the song "Requiem for a dream" from the lord of the rings. this is my favourite vid yet so please comment and rate.thanks
WOW! Thank you so much for such a great movie. I am going to boast a little...I was an extra on the set while they filmed all of the desert scenes just outside of Yuma, AZ and it was a lot of fun to be a part of this now iconic film...there was staggering heat to deal with but I had a wonderful time talking to James Spader and John Dehl in between takes! Roland is an amazing director and Iam so happy his career as grown big! Thank again!

@bradleyZD MGM have no say in the matter, it's purely a creative term. There is no one single canon, just a group of different ones. Dean Devlin and Ronald Emmerich don't consider the series to be part of their canon, for example, just like the series producers don't consider the RPG to be part of theirs.
@01000001011100100111 This makes the move work better with the series canon. I think I heard that MGM confirmed the RPG books to e canon anyway, since they don't contradict anything in the series.
@bradleyZD There is no single canon, there are multiple ones. Most people consider the series canon to be the main one, of which the RPG canon is not recognised. The producers have said many times than only the movies (partially) and the three series are considered canon by them, the novels and RPG are not. As far as the series is concerned, Ra was a Goa'uld in a Human host like any other.
@01000001011100100111 It doesn't matter. It makes sense. Plus MGM licensed the RPG that it was and had not denounced it as canon. While it doesn't have to be considered canon, I don't see why somebody wouldn't consider it canon.
Stargate is real underrated masterpiece with unique storyline, visual effects and acting. James Spader was perfect for this film - believable and really phenomenal acting. Kurt Russell, Viveca Lindfors, Alexis Cruz, Erick Avari and Mili Avital did a great job too. The 90's were really the Best era. Other underrated SCI-FI films of that era - Lawnmower Man, Alien 3, Virtuosity, Space Truckers, FutureSport, RoboCop 2, The Time Shifters, The Arrival, Mimic, Sphere

@01000001011100100111 This explains a lot of the changes from the film to SG-1. You don't have to believe it but I do since it makes more sense.

Ra = Most Badass villain ever, better than any Goa'uld in the series.
