Startup-Problem ASUS G1S

After Welcome-Screen....DARKNESS
marker at 1:38 and 4:07
Reinstalled Vista twice, but no improvement.
Sometimes it works fine(normal startup), sometimes it restarts alone before Welcome screen appears.
Soon after the problem occured, I sent the NB to the support, but they only changed the cable of the display???
UPDATE: Vista's problem-manager often tells me, it might be a Hardware failure and it obviously is one. So i gonna send it to ASUS support in August, so let's see...

go to save mode in windows and go to a system restore point when te laptop works fine

I dont use the system restoration of Windows.

what happens if u use a ubuntu or a linux based live cd?

didnt test that. This problem appears not regularly or ist predictable.

Sometimes at Welcome-Screen, the Colours change to a strange violet and after 10 sec the bluescreen appears, and ALWAYS the nvlddkm... is the origin of the failure (thats the nvidia display driver).

Next week i gonna send it in again.

They changed the Motherboard and now everything works fine.

please solve my problem! when i open my pc on welcome screen there are no users and i have to press Alt+Ctrl+Delete to log in! and when i go to user acounts it says : cells.item(...) is null or not an object but i dont want to reinstall windows ! i dont know how anw
