The chaplain at a nursing home in Cobourg, Ont., David Janzen works among men and women living with Alzheimer's disease - an illness that runs in his own family. When he looks into their faces, he sees his future.
360 Vision also meets some of the people Janzen encounters in his work, including relatives of the men and women living at Golden Plough. Many, like Sarah Jewell, who brought her ailing father to the home four years ago, grapple with their own spiritual burden: an often overwhelming combination of grief and guilt as they helplessly watch their loved ones decline.
VisionTV's Gemini Award-nominated current affairs series 360 Vision presents Alzheimer's: The Long Goodbye on Valentines Day February 14th at 10pm ET on VisionTV Canada. Repeats on Monday at 8:30pm ET.
