Ahaha this reminds me when I introduced 2 baby rats to the current rats. They were so persistant in jumping all over her she'd just kick them constantly. Though they were all female :'x

@iole96792 An emergency spay - in case a female rat gets into an intact male's cage, for example. You'd do a spay ASAP to prevent her from having babies (as she likely would). E-spays are often done to protect the health of the female, usually due to accidental pregnancy but sometimes due to an infection such as pyometra.

@cinemageek - oh ok, That would cost an arm an a leg here if I could even find a vet who could do it. Neutering is a little less but still pretty hefty. I wish I could do it to all my males because they were so much happier after, mellow no fights. oh well, thanks for the info.

@iole96792 I hope you'll be able to find a vet who can at least do neuters. I had to look for quite a while and try out a bunch of vets before I found a couple great ones - and I live in a very large metro area. It can be discouraging trying to find a good rat vet, but keep trying! I wish you lots of luck finding one! :)

Poor little Ike. He looks just like my boy Mulder. Mulder is my little cuddle bunny. Is Ike cuddly too?

@kiffenlover Ike was the most cuddly rat I've ever known! He loved to crawl up on us while we watched TV and just sit and get scratched on. He'd come up, get scritched on for a while, and then go on about his ratty business. :)
