When we accept policies about immigrant behaviour analysis and rules without question, we validate such documents and policies done about Immigrants without consultation of Immigrants. That's what we are affraid of... that such legal inbeded policies become the guide for thought, and clearly it has helped many validade their discriminatory judgment and provide them with tools to continue discrimination on others. Segregation done by the booklet published by City of Gatineau "Énoncé de Valeurs" goes to far, mostly because it addresses one segment of society - Immigrants.
I invite you to examine closely the processus of consultation with the Ethic Groups, then you will realise that its elaborated, by majority voting, by non Immigrants. Then this gets put into reports and given to all good politicians who trust the process of consultations, but unware of the bias in the consultations. It get passed cause politicians dont have the time to read 600 page reports or even less, go and police the proceedures of consultations, and it becomes policy. When we get involved, and I hope you will, down to the grassroots, we obtain a much clearer picture of what is going on, and we become more tolerante. I hope that you do this and discover that we can all redefine our thoughts.
