It may be beautifull here but powell river sucks ass. I don't neccecarily hate it here, because its so small its nice and safe, but at the same time I do. Fuck powell river. I'm sitting here being pissed that the snow was allready melted the morning after the night it snowed.d

Must have been fun standing on Manson that day. I remember watching the huge maples in our yard near Stark/Armour road just waving madly, and that dosent happen often to maples. Curious to see if anyone has the mega snowfall from 2000-2002 time frame. When we had like 4ft of snow for a few weeks.

hey man,
thanks for the video! I really enjoyed watching it! I'm from the west coast as well and love winter storms......if you have the time you should make more this winter when the big storms begin to hit!!

I use to live in Powell River.. But I moved.. Which sucks ass.
What a beautiful area and lovely footage. It was a pity about the destructive force of the storm. But I love to see nature at work (but from a "safe" distance).

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It is a beautiful area. We love it here. And, we love watching the winter storms, too, but not when they are as wild as that one was.

I remember that, It made it over the mountains and whipped things around her on the prairies. It is very rare for such a storm still cause damage after going over the rockies.

The prairies can have some wild storms once in a while. I can remember a few when I was kid growing up there. I miss seeing the thunder and lightning storms. We sure don't get twisters like the ones that happen out there every now and again, thankfully.
Out here it sure is different though with 50' to 100' trees swaying above you and wondering if they'll stay standing or drop on your house.
Thanks for commenting.

Don't know if it's Global Warming,
I can clearly remember being out of power for a few days in Wildwood and the Chimney being blown off in a storm. November was always the time for those crazy winds from the North West to come rolling in, who didn't go down to Gibson's Beach and buck up drift wood after a storm like that? I can remember a log barge lost its load off Harwood and all the logs were piled up all over from Sliammon to the mill.

After a storm sure is a great time to bring in some firewood. Makes it a lot easier. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers
