I read some where, I think Silver RavenWolf, that you can use a cluster or crystal in lieu of salt to Cleanse/Consecrate/Empower items... and that amethyst is one of the crystals perfect for cleansing... and I have a small cluster that I've now CCE to be a cleaning item in lieu of salt for items I don't want to expose to salt. =)

@ibkristykat Yes I use clear quartz for this, and as Amethyst is a type of quartz I think it would work too :)

@Pagyptsian I feel amethyst mainly triggering my crown chakra, but it does give a subtle boost to my third eye. When I get to my crown chakra, I feel like I have a thousand eyes coming out of my head, and they are going off to different dimensions and different worlds. Oftentimes, after this, I will find affirmation elsewhere to what I have channeled.

I consider amethyst my "lotus keeper". :)

@DayMare2000 I know exactly what you mean! I use amethyst for my third eye chakra because it is the crystal of the psychic, inutition and understanding. x

@Pagyptsian I chose amethyst because is a direct link to my higher self. I've found that lot of people choose quartz crystal for it's balancing of energies, but I find that my best means of finding answers is when I am in my higher seat of awareness, and amethyst gets me there. :)

@Pagyptsian Mmmhmmm! =) I sometimes have a hard time resisting wanting more of it, although I limit myself to the amount of gemstones that I have within their sets. I plan on getting an amethyst pendulum soon. Sooo excited.
