This might be my favourite scene in the whole 48 year franchise and as an 11 year old watching it on the big screen in 1981 I was transfixed as I didnt know how Rog and Carole Bouquet were going to get out of it.
I am still a big fan of the original arrangement which was no music until Kristatos turns the ship on them and tries to run them down. Then the tension is ratcheted up. But this is OK. It would have been interested to know what John Barry would have done with this.
I really like this one, fits with the intensity of the scene. Did the original scene have a score at all? Don't remember, and I can't hear anything here...
