  • any negative issues with the really short 3inch barrel or reliability?

  • @adrianrubi - Haven't had any issues at all with FMJ or JHP, other than it'll some times kick a casing up and straight back instead of off to the right.

  • Can you purchase 8 round magazines for this?

  • Possibly, but it would stick out the bottom of the frame a bit.

  • I've had this gun for more years than I can remember and shot well over 500 rounds from it and it's still as good as the day I bought it. The perfect gun for concealing too, small and compact yet incredible knockdown power.

  • WOW FIRE

  • anybody want trade the colt for my kimber

  • I love that gun

  • @OneCleanEm1 No offense, i noticed you said you were new to shooting handguns. I had this same problem when i started, and couldn't seem to keep my rounds on the target. I'm assuming you are "anticipating the shot" and jerking the gun slightly downward before fully engaging the trigger, causing the round to drop. With the gun you're using (colt defender), the drop will be considerable with its short barrel. Try squeezing the trigger slowly while aiming at your target until the shot surprises u.

  • i just got a Colt Defender series 90 brand new... its shooting very low, about 6-8inches low at 10 yards... any reason for this? i am new to shooting handguns , could it be trigger tugging or limp wrist or has anyone else had this problem with the defender?

  • @ScubaSteve0169 - I'd call around to your local indoor ranges, one may have a Defender or a New Agent (same basic gun in black with trench sites) available to shoot.
