The Liberals Were Right

What is a liberal? A liberal is nothing more than a person who loves liberty. We liberals defend freedom, real freedom, not just some prop like the flag or the national anthem. Yet, right wingers and mainstream pundits use the word liberal as an attack word, as if love of liberty is something we ought to be ashamed of.

Well, let's look at the facts. The facts are that, time and time again, the liberals were right, and their angry pundits from the right wing have been wrong.

On global warming, they said that liberals were wrong. They said global warming was a liberal fantasy. But the truth is not disputed any more by serious thinkers - the liberals were right. Global warming is for real.

Consider President Bush. The mainstream pundits and right wingers said that George W. Bush was a brilliant leader, a hero. All along, we liberals have been saying that Bush is a Nero, a zero. America now agrees with the liberals. George W. Bush is the worst President in American history. The liberals were right.

When liberals warned America not to go to war in Iraq, the right wingers and pundits said that the liberals were crazy. Well, look at what happened. No one is saying mission accomplished any more. The Iraq War is a miserable failure. The liberals were right.

On all of the most important issues of the day, the liberals have been right. Next time, before we go to war, before America ignores clear science, before we elect our next President, America should listen to the liberals.

GW Bush was not the best President, but he made some good decisions. In 20 years from now, you'll see what I mean. As for Iraq, we had to go to war with them to kill Saddam Hussein. Now that Saddam's dead, the Iraqi Government can get better. Point is, all of your points on "the liberals were right" can easily be trampled upon, using a bit of logic.
