President Obama blows off Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama is visiting Washington D.C. but for the first time in 18 years a U.S. president will not be meeting with him. American officials say President Obama will meet with the Dalai Lama after his meeting with Chinese president Hu Jintao, but is he pretty much saying that diplomatic relations with China are more important than the Dalai Lama?

The problem with politics is, its made so complicated, you know if China, Tibetans and USA just stopped with all this slow process of debate, concerns, exc. and all governments stopped focusing on international ties like a group of children in which any mistake by the other, must result in retaliation of some sort.

If I were US president, when I was at a meeting with the Chinese president, I'd have an honest, non-political conversation about Tibet and just make things happen, w/o all this.
