Frank Elmo the Hierophant.

@danieljones013 please count the bars again, there are 16!

Or Chris Hunter...

I'm an alto player so naturally my favorite was Chris Huner. :)

@Cohnmiester the song isnt that hard. its only 12 bars. Anyone who practices enough can play medically over it. Your stopping urself by saying u can't do it. U can probably do a better job than some of these guys! I play over giant steps for fun, cuz i just like the sound. Pro hint: the 2-5-1's from the keys of Eb to G to B are good points to develop melodically. look at the melody.

@greati9 No motif development? Have you ever tried to play Giant Steps? I have to admit that when I first heard the 'Big Band' of this arrangement I was put off, I grew up with the 4 - 6 member jazz groups, but once I got past that & listened to the solos I wasn't so negative. But to return to my motif and develop it a tiny bit: GIANT STEPS is seriously difficult! I mean, if one is trying to improvise across 3 key changes & n+ cord changes all at Mach 1, good luck!
