For the record, they TRIED to get it aired. It wasn't cowardice on Matt Stone and Trey Parker's part, the network censored it. They've drawn him before as well and it was aired, but the episode in which the drawing of Muhammad was shown got pulled after this bullshit. It wasn't just the drawing either, Kyles "I learned something today" speech was also bleeped out. A lot of people thought that was the joke, but it was a long commentary about fear and intimidation which was cut by the network.
