Davie Allan did a quick little tour in November 2007 with two members of Dick Dale's regular touring band - Sam Bolle on bass, and Bryan Head on drums. This performance took place on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, CA. The song is "Polyurethane," which first appeared on an LP in 1983 called "What Surf."
I shot this video with a little pocket still camera - a Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ3. The audio is kinda muffled, but what the hey... it's a YouTube video!

I saw this guy this year at a club in Texas and he plays LOUD!!!! Loud enough for a club ten times the size as the one I saw him in - Davie blew the doors off the joint. This clip doesn't do his performance justice. Those kids in his band were just thrashing with boundless energy. The drummer was an animal. Every guitar head in town showed up and were awe struck. Great Show!

Loved this Santa Cruz show! Thanks Unsteady Freddie! Polyurethane is one of my favorite all-time Davie Allan tunes. Brian and Sam make outstanding Arrows. Sam teaching us bassists how to do the Surf "hammer-ons" :-)
