As much as one may agree with your sentiments, using this song to advance politics is worthy of an unprotected power surge.

We've seen the last, of Michael Richards!

@txeire Agree. The only candidate I would half-way trust to keep us out of mindless wars would be Dr. Ron Paul.

@tim3854 uhh no.

@ponbop I agree! This is cool video too!

While you are absolutely correct about the history, don't be too hard on the poster. King John wasn't well liked in his time, so when this track was first published (I am now 64) we took it to be a thinly-disguised attack on the political masters of our day. Which was well before the Bushes, Iraq, et al. Every generation sees things from their own perspective. That has been the case since the time of Bach if not before. At least he has posted this SD track for everyone to enjoy.

I condemn you for using this song in a twisted interpretation for your own purposes, it's just wrong in many ways.
You may know that King Richard the Lion former duke of Normandy (who actually lead a fair number of charges) was succeeded by King John in 1199. We've seen the last of good king Richard (died 41) Ring out the past his name lives on (we know him today) Roll out the bones (remains in France) and Raise up your pitcher Raise up your glass to Good King John (celebrating the new king)

i agree that Bush acted impetously in attacking Iraq. And I also think Obama is doing the same thing. Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.

@txeire - I am of the same thinking. I think Obama might be a hair better but almost indistinguishable from Bush...especially on the economy. They both suck...

@Libertine62 True, Obama is doing a better job than anyone in the mainstream would have expected. Still too left economically to deserve reelection, though.

@jwmellott - Are you really trying to say that extending the Bush tax cuts proves that Obama has taken an economically leftist position? Or by passing HCR with a mandate to buy insurance in the marketplace, instead of allowing people to buy into medicare if they wanted to, is leftist? It sounds right of center to me.
