CAUTION: This video is a bit lame. My other Touring series (2 parts) is much better. This was shot by cute kids so I'm leaving it up. : ) Now then, ski instruction today doesn't help the most skiers well enough. It doesn't teach casual Touring. It only covers race-based technique (my previous videos included!). Nutty! Sadly, this little jiffy video does NOT show the *MAIN* "Delayed Diagonal" move very well. Still, it shows 3 fun and useful moves that I've revived from old-school wood-ski days. Brought to you by http://OutYourBackDoor.com, your HQ for indie outdoor culture.

  • Double pole kick works better

  • @TwinsFansUSA Works better for what? KDP works well in firm tracks and if you're quite fit and want to go quite fast. Often this isn't the situation or the goal. Every move has its place. KDP and DP are more fast/race moves. SDP is a moderate gear. Yet in jumpmode, SDP can be used to climb faster/steeper than KDP.
