Songkeeper: Sky Island

The sky islands are a group of mountainous, forested "oases" of cooler climate and temperate character scattered throughout the hot, dry Sonoran Desert. If you want to escape the heat and aridity, just start climbing. ;) During a morning hike along the Green Mountain Trail in the Coronado National Forest, northeast of Tucson, AZ, I stopped to play a tune to the mountain.
