A video of Azerbaijani protesters in the city of Urmia, Iran on June 13. They are chanting (in Azerbaijani Turkish) "Azerbaican yatmiyib, Musavini atmiyib", which translates to "Azerbaijan is not asleep, it has not abandoned Musavi".
The Azerbiajani Turkic minority in Iran comprises roughly 25-35% of the total population in Iran. In recent years Azerbaijanis have demanded greater cultural and linguistic rights such as the right to learn their mother tongues in schools and the right to celebrate their nation heroes.
This video was taken in the predominataly Azerbaijani city of Urmia, Iran. They were protesting the 2009 elections. Protesters were also demanding greater cultural and linguistic rights (not seen here).
Presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Musavi is himself an ethnic Azerbaijani Turk.
