Jasons Pasta Bake

Carrot, Onion, Celery, Garlic sauté until onion is clear and veg is soft.
Remove from the pan and fry any other vegetables such as Courgette, Peppers
That you may like to add. Remove from pan, at this point you can if you want
Fry off some mince or meat balls until brown then add all the cooked vegetables.

Add your favourite pasta sauce or Passata sieved tomatoes or 2 cans of chopped tomatoes.

At this point you can add some mixed herbs or some from the garden.

Simmer for approx 30 min. while this is happening Boil the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente not too soft!

Add the pasta to the sauce and Meatballs with vegetables. Stir and pour into
Oven proof dish.

In Saucepan over a low heat melt 2 large knobs of butter with 2 table spoons of plain flour, mix in to a Roux when both ingredients are combined stir in just over half a pint of milk and bring up to just before boiling point stirring all the time. When the white sauce clings to the back of the spoon if required add some cheese of your choice. And stir in.

Once melted pour on top of the pasta. At this point you can grate some more cheese of your choice for something special cut up some mozzarella and place on the top of the bake.

Place in a medium oven for approx 30 min or until hot. I like the top slighty brown.

Hope you enjoy!!!! Serve with some nice bread, maybe salad bowl and some chilled wine or a beer!

  • You did not ad any salt or pepper. I usually ad salt when i start saute onions because they swet faster. Your pan is curvy in the bottom and the heat isnt coming all the way thrue. Buy thicher bottomed quality pan it cooks better. I like you home style. I love all cooking videos, so yours too. Keep on cooking because i can almoust smell your fryeing onions and vegetetables. Try some fresh chili . Im from Finland
