The East Corridor commuter rail line scheduled to open to the public in early 2015 will link RTDs rail system from downtown Denver to Denver International Airport. The project will be a 23.6-mile electric commuter rail line from Denver Union Station to Denver International Airport, serving East Denver and Aurora. • The East Corridor rail line to Denver International Airport (DIA) is beginning full construction this year and will be complete in 2016. Only a few more years until you can take the train to the plane!

  • And only $500,000,000 over budget!

  • denver is nice

  • Why can't Chicagos RTA be like this?!

  • @prk166 I Guarantee that it will have a tremendous impact 20 years from now.

  • we really need this line.every major city has a rail system from the aireport.

  • are they going to use the same trains as with the light rail?

  • They fail to mentioned that this line, if they can find the funding to build it which they currently don't have, is going to cost in the neighborhood of $1.5 billion. RTD's own studies also show it will have nearly no impact on congestion.
