In 1963 I began my Outboard Motor Tech & Auto Electrician Apprenticeship at Adelaide Outboard Service which at that time operated at 80 Grote Steet In Adelaide and Cnr South Road Daws Road at Edwardstown. It was jointly operated by Bruce Fitch & Lionel Codling, both who were ex Army. These two gentlemen gave me my start in life & I will be eternally grateful for their support & kindness. We were all & still are true blue supporters of the the OMC product & now BRP E-Tec. Thank you so much Ken.

My involvement with Adelaide Outboard Marine over the years allowed me to get to know everyone at AOM. Firstly they sponsored my TV show and then I became their web designer. It was a complete surprise when I heard through a family member that AOM was being sold up. This company was a boating icon in Adelaide. The Adelaide boatshow wont be the same without them. But it does show how vulnerable any company is these days.
Good luck guys. I hope you all move on to better things.
