I am an AKA and I went to a predominately white university BUT the greeks there were ALL about unity. YOUR sorors stepped every year with one of the white sororities...I mean EVERY year. And not just the SGRhos, but the other black greek sororities did unity steps with a selected white sorority, so don't make it like it's just AKA's who are for unity stepping, because there are INDEED members of other black sororities (and frats) including YOURS, who are all for this type of stepping.

the only problem i have is:

1. most of these steps were probably taught to them by NPHC/BGLOs

2. why are the only people stepping and the majority of the people attending white?

why aren't there any BGLOs or even Latin sororities/fraternities stepping? Wouldn't that be true unity? Unity of all the sororities/fraternities on campus?

I don't know...this just seems strange.

@VanillaFire31 Question: How can that which is original (meaning FIRST) play catch up??? Wut exactly wud we be catching up to? How to learn the governenance of an organization we pledged our hearts to and then try to change everything we pledged for, and then....wait!....when we dont get our way, we get disgruntled and leave???? I don't understand why they would do this? I don't even see any black people stepping. Do they even understand the origins of stepping.

Just read news about ZTA having to share the Coke award because of "unspecified errors.

I guess those black fraternity guys just don't understand diversity.

I wonder what Henry Callis, Charles Chapman, Eugene Jones, George Kelley, Nathaniel Murray, Robert Ogle, and Vertner Tandy would think.

I guess Cornell should have told them there were plenty of white fraternities, and they couldn't infringe on that history.

Instead they approved Alpha Phi Alpha as the first black fraternity.
