  • @happysmileyface99 Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD) Is what I mentioned it is also referred to as Circovirus1. I am also familiar with the term Psittacine as well. Thanks. Happy New Year to you as well.

  • Hey sorry but PBFD actually means psittacine beak and feather disease. psittacine means "A bird of the parrot family" or "Of, relating to, or denoting birds of the parrot family." :) thank you for your videos, i like them and they have important stuff in them!! :) oh and happy new year!!! :)

  • @onmilo Good to know. Thanks for Sharing that.

  • I want to add a bit to your #8 reason of wing clipping. I have a blue crown conure that had been clipped since birth, never learned to fly, is a rehome.

We got him & he was beginning to feather destruct. We have been teaching him that it is ok & even acceptable to fly & we allow his flight feathers to grow, he kept biting the flight feathers ends off for the first year. Now he is learning to accept them & is beginning to fly a bit.

The feather destruction has stopped. :-)
