This was an idea I had been thinking about for awhile. The camera that recorded the beaming was about 800 meters (2,625 feet) away from the laser!
The pocket laser I use in this video is a bit like Wicked Lasers' Arctic Spyder III S3 only stronger and smaller. It is custom built as a flashlight hack. How to make it is not too difficult except for the heat sink part! This laser makes people think about the phaser from Star Trek as well as a laser weapon from Star Wars (a bit like a blue lightsaber in certain parts of the video). It is very powerful and actually can burn wood as well as boil coffee instantly!
