Stand Up Against Poverty and Violence

The South African National NGO Coalition (SANGOCO) is a member driven coalition with the mandate of creating and maintaining an enabling climate for the non-profit community and promoting people-centred participatory development.
SANGOCO actively participates in the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) and the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, two major United Nations campaigns, in support of the fight against poverty and violence in South Africa and in the world.
Artists an celebrities have been requested to take part in the campaigns, and bring their support. Uru (Nigerian female singer based in the United States) is one of them.
