First of All..... Congratulations on the marriage, have been following you for a number of years..... You look great together.
Now....Alicia ....as a male (uk) ..you've met the immediate family .. I'd say with the extended family comes more questions, maybe he doesn't want his ear chewed off about the babies thing.
Anyway, hope both you and the happy couple have a happy Christmas and new year.
You are in denile. He is not serious. Girl, dump him. He is not trying to settle down. If he dosen't introduce you to the family after 5yrs, then you are a convenience for him. Don't listen to the excuses. Even if he didnt understand your needs, after 5yrs he should be sensative to them & introduce you to the family. Seriously, you should dump him and date a man who respects you . Because he is just kicken it for convenience.
Uhh 5YRS!! Did he present a ring to you by now? He is going home for Thanksgiving.......He should of talked to you FIRST...If he has not done either of these 2 things...DUMP HIM! simply put. uuughh
Now to Alicia directly @RenBug55 - I just read your post. As I mentioned earlier, MissBrownSuga444 and I have talked about similar scenarios many times. So, I have a question for you: I understand you want marriage love and not marriage and no kids. Did he say he wants the same thing? Being an East Coast native, I know how traditional East Coast families can be. And if you come to the East Coast - the family will ask you and him tons of questions about where you're relationship is headed.
Hey MissBrownSuga444, this is Jerome in da house. You will probably not be surprised by my comments for Alicia as it similar to many conversations we have had as friends over the years. Every relationship of 2 years or more is eventually going to hit the four little words: Where Is This Going? I am so glad for you that there was a positive answer for you and Mr. M. After 5 years, I am concerned for Alicia that her man is not going anywhere near making her feel like a princess.
@RenBugBug55 Oh, I thought you didn't meet them @ all. Maybe he doesn't want you to meet the rest of his family or something. The holidays is pretty much a time where everyone comes together. So IDK.
I haven't been in this situation but he has something to hide. It's either he doesn't want you to meet his family because of IDK, ethnicity, race, some weird BS or he's kind of ashamed/embarassed of his family( mannerisms, something.) He's definitely hiding something. And you guys have been together for a half a decade? He needs to get it together or let it loose. That's too long to not be more opened.
*Hello Everyone, its Alicia* (the kitty cat :)) well i think i should have said something...I have met him mom and step dad quite a few times. They love me! they want us to have a litter of babies! But as for marriage, its not my thing (as untraditional as that sounds comin from a female, and NO babies either) i don’t need a marriage just marriage love. :)

my question is why is a grown married woman going out to celebrate halloween? That strikes me as odd.
