Another fun shootout against two great pistol designs! Some simple scenarios were set up and ran using the expertise of two experienced shooters, Sterling from Impact Guns and newcomer to the Project Brian (an accomplished competitor in pistol, shotgun, and tactical carbine). Both shot very well even when the stress levels were slightly elevated. The XDm showed its accuracy potential but the Glock stayed right in there the whole time. Things were going great with both guns right up until the time the XDm failed to go into battery...twice (Type 1 failures)! It was shocking to us and it seemed that some BreakFree® lube on the rails and barrel solved the problem thereafter (but shouldn't it shoot dry?!). I really like being mostly the camera man in this video but of course I had step up and play too (it's fun too!) in the end. I shot the Glock better in this outing, running what I called the "hostage" drill or trying to achieve max accuracy in 15 yard "whistled" shooting. Both are excellent and have their fans and I do not attempt to give definitive data points on the XDm here...that would take me 1000s of rounds personally fired over the course of months (but that XD/XDm still seems to remain cursed in the Nutnfancy Project!). There are some other tests out there from which to draw those conclusions. It boils down to shooter preference and like I mention in the XDm Review and Update video

  • This is a test of two different shooters abilities. Both of those guns are more accurate then the shooter. I carry a Glock on duty and love it. Still a good video

  • Cont. from below…

Also, the guy with the Glock kept his gun pointed close to sighted between whistles where as the guy with the XDm brought his gun back towards his body without keeping it sighted there gave the shooter with the glock an unfair advantage also known as cheating. I have neither one of these guns but I am considering both of them this kind of bias vid kind of pushes me to XDm. Not exactly a compairson video.

  • @dhsurg3048 then make a vid and prove it

  • Wow, after watching this video I shoot just as accurately as 25 yds as they do at 7 yds. Maybe Nutnfancy was making them nervous.

  • @dabears1132 Ah now I see. I was just lookin real hard to give points to springfield armory =O

  • @fmansantos

Not a failure just an empty Glock locked back to the rear like it''s designed to. Notice how he throws a fresh mag in right after

  • Hey "dude" please dial back the commentary

And simply report the facts. Thankyou.

  • @fmansantos That's not a failure. That's shot till empty and reloaded.

  • Love Glock for 9mm, love Springfield XDM for .45

  • wow, not good xd ftf!

  • I have a xdm 45 and have never once had a failure with the mags
