Dambisa Moyo talks about the African countries she has visited and how they have responded to her message about aid dependency and entrepreneurship (May 25, 2009).
I understand and support what she is saying. The way forward for Africa and other developing countries is throgh business and skills training, not just 'Aid' which is often mis-managed.
its interesting how she says it cannot be done in 5 years yet the first stage of the Millennium Villages project aims to lift the communities in the first 5 years so that they can sustain themselves and begin phasing out aid completely.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more from you Dambisa. I think you are spot on that Africa needs to focus on how it can generate income for itself, thereby becoming more attractive to foreign investment, on an equal basis.
We love you queen; thanks for your hard work and for your tactical wisdom.
