Driving my Alfa Romeo GTV -85 on Botniaring 21.8.2010.

2,5liter V6 12 valve Megasquirt II
Eaton M62 Supercharger with a clutch activated by a button inside the car. Running 0,25 bar boost. The Alfa gets better fuel mileage on the road because I can drive without the supercharger spinning all the time. I now have better fuel mileage than when the car was unmodified.
Modified instrument gauges. Innovate LC-1 connected to the MSII for closed loop fuel delivery. The LC-1 is also connected to the custom made AFR gauge around the boost gauge.
Many other mods done too.

But I have now realised that I really should be more carful on the track if there are other cars on the track.

My Alfa, the Sierra Cosworth and the blue Mitsubishi Evo had Toyo R888 tires. I think all the other cars going fast around the track on this video also had some kind of track day tires.

  • Good driving by the way.

  • @2URBO2 Thank You

  • Tell me, how can you "activate" the superchargers??

  • @2URBO2 I have a belt driven supercharger with an electromagnetic clutch from an air conditioning compressor from an Alfa Romeo 164. Take a look at the video I will post very soon!

  • are you running standard compression ratio, or did you drop it for the charger install?

  • @gtvdtm When I assembled this engine 6 years ago I was not planning on using a supercharger so I raised the compression ratio to 10:1. That’s why I run low boost

  • Yes it is the same car but with more carbon parts and other modifications. But the colour is black metal.

  • welldone friend this video will be for ever.

  • I remember seeing a dark brown GTV6 with a clutch operated supercharger @Ahvenisto in 2008. Is this the same car?

  • OK... eller på svenksa... nu kommer jag ihåg varför jag har aldrig varit på radalle.com. Men Alfa låter fint.
