Cube Hamburg 2007

The 14 meters (46 feet) "Cube Hamburg 2007" by German artist Gregor Schneider, a black three dimensional symmetrical shape that stands outside the HH Kunsthalle in contrast to the square white Galerie der Gegenwart building. This cube, inspired by the Kaaba, the black cube at the center of the Great Mosque in Mecca, was one of the many artworks exhibited at the museum show that honors the Russian artist Kasimir Malevich in 2006. Contrary to the criticism of political officials to the Berlin & the Venice cube projects, this one in Hamburg was not a big deal!
...then off I was on my way to Berlin!
