Thanks a lot for publishing this. It took me right back to seeing the great man play this on the Tube in 1983 (in the studio, not on TV). It's inspired me to pick up the bass again after a bit of a break.

No - the original is in F.
BTW - I read that Norman Watt Roy came up with the line soon after seeing Weather Report with Jaco, who inspired the line.

I grew up around Norman, he taught me some fundamentals about real music you won't find ANYWHERE else! First two lines he showed me were Midnight hour and Green onions and I've never looked back... I remember sitting with him listening to Jaco's 'Honestly,' amidst great plumes of yellow smoke, it changed the way I thought about music, just watching his enthusiasm alone is enough. Top Geezer
