55 Gallon Freshwater -African Cichlids

Just a video of my brand new African Cichlid Aquarium. I have only had this aquarium up for 1 week now. It still needs to fully cycle through. I have some stuff set up but have ordered Cichlid Stones / Caves so will be changing the tank around or adding new decor / caves hopefully sometime next week.

Yes, it is overcrowded a bit, only because I need to keep the aggression level down in the tank.

I will eventually put up the count of the fish ad what types of fish I have in there. But for now, I can tell you that I have 30 - 31 fish in there including the 4 bottom feeders.
Remember this tank is only a week old.

Is it okay to mix African and South American cichlids in the same tank?

@Stinder No it is not okay. They do not get along as they are two different types of cichlids.

The one with blue stripes is a M. cyanerhabdos (Maingano). So a little update on the tank:

After all the fish breeding and me having the tank for a bit more than a year now, I have around 25 fish in there and they are all living happily. They are still breeding in the tank. I usually give away the fry.

Everyone in the tank is happy and enjoying themselves!

I like you bluish blk cichlid...i have 1 of those catfish too in my cichlid tank...how many do u have total...so far I have 2 in my cichlid tank...u can check out my video

i dont get it im looking at 55 gallon tanks and alot are community it seems like the only fun fish in large tanks are cichlidsXD
