@1915sanderson That would be because (almost) all the Aussies who go on a holiday to Bali/Thailand are bogans.

@nsakic screw that i'd buy a american flag t-shirt with an NRA sticker on my bag asking where a mc donald would be tellin these euro's that we are comin after france

@JS500Y The American tourists I've met here in Australia have been friendly, respectful and keen to learn about aussie culture. If you want to see ignorant offensive tourists go to Bali or Thailand and try to talk to an aussie. They'll be the ones wearing Bintang singlets.

@iLaugh1ng Jeez that's embarrassing, is it too late to play it off as irony? Probably.
-
@rsandga2 You mean 'grammar'?
-
@garfert You mean "They're"? Nice English grammer bro :D

As an American living in Wales now I'm fine with most people's English except in the UK. My Scottish friend is the worst. But i digress when I travel I try and make my self seem as non ignorant as possible. But then I see the other Americans and its like we give out passports only if the state department judges you as the worst people we can send to represent our country. Just believe me when I say we're not all bad people

@nsakic no, we don't. Personally, I've got 3 military patches, 1 American flag and one old school American flag that has a serpent entitled "don't tread on this" ...the bag is also orange - never had any problems in europe, israel or the emirates. =)
American tourists put Canadian flags on their bag packs while traveling in Europe just to avoid detection.
